Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
I worked for months, working 12- hours sanding floors, and tear down wallpaper one child strapped on my back and the others climbing in the playpen. Ha! The whole thing was beginning to take shape, however we weren't anywhere near finished. It would take time, money and of course my favourite shopping experience for furniture to decorate this home. My three sons and I were looking for the hidden treasures at estate sales to reduce my expenses. We used to go on a weekly basis to visit garage sales and auctions on the weekend, and buy a variety of pieces old and newly constructed. I'd spend my workdays on the drive either painting or sanding. The look was a little like the following... This is where my love for in the process of restoring old furniture got started. Even after our house was finished, I didn't want to stop! I had a stand at the local market and sold pieces there. It was possible to expand my space because I owned many more pieces than I needed. Over 1000 people visited my home in just one weekend to buy everything that was on the ground. My company Growing Days began here. The business wasn't just expanding, but so was my sweet family too. I was balancing the demands of having to start a new business as well as a mother too. Growing Days was the obvious choice. Nora my fourth child was born in the year 2013. Although I was happy with the direction my business went, I was feeling like I had to take some time off. I took a break from the old furniture in order to spend more quality time with my kids. It was what I wanted. After a couple of months, my phone started to ring. I started receiving messages from individuals asking for help in home improvement as well as interior design. Many of the people calling me came from people who attended one of my furniture open houses. After that, I gradually took on new clients at my own speed. Then I was able to have many clients and I was running a business of home renovations. Had you told me my company would become an idea for the DIY Network show, I would probably have thought you were crazy. It's true that I laugh when I think about it.
