Dick Cheney is a former Chief of Staff of the President. He also served in Congress and was Secretary of Defense. Cheney is a man with integrity, who has the respect of both Republicans as well as Democrats. Cheney claims he's an unassuming but trustworthy advisor to Bush within his administration. Cheney was the first to accept the Republican Vice Presidential nominating in 2007 stated that the he would be looking forward to working under a president who is able to work across party lines and work with political rivals by fostering goodwill and working towards a common objective. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941, the child of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. At the age of 13, Richard moved his family from Nebraska to Casper in the state of Casper where his father was director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture local district for soil conservation.
